It’s no secret that this year has been rough (at least for everyone I’ve been speaking to).

If you’re running your own show, this may mean making compromises to make ends meet. Although this mightn’t be ideal, there is a way for you to turn it around by adopting a different mindset.

I’ve recently accepted a brand, web design & dev project for a client at a price well below the usual. While this would usually knock my self-esteem, I’m approaching the project from a different perspective.

I'll do my best to make the project look spectacular so it can be used as a vehicle for marketing and promotion. This way, all the hours that you spend over budget, you can consider as time invested into developing marketing material and advertising. Plus, the client gets a lot more bang for their buck, which is a great feeling.

It’s definitely taken most of the sting out for me personally, so maybe it's a perspective that could help you too.
