Your visit here is yours. No ads, no tracking cookies, no selling your data and no following you around the internet. I collect as little as possible, and only what helps me reply to you or make this site better.

madebystef is a brand of Baloo Digital (Pty) Ltd, which is responsible for any information collected through this site.

If you fill in a form, I receive the name, email address and project details you choose to share. That's it. I use them to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the project. Forms are handled by Webflow, which hosts this site.

If you subscribe, your email address (and your name, if you share it) is stored with MailerLite, which sends the newsletter. You'll get the newsletter and nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click takes you off the list for good. No “wait, but I unsubscribed, why am I getting emails again” tricks.

I want to know which pages are useful, not who you are. Plausible and Webflow Analyze show me which pages get visited, where visitors come from, what gets clicked and how far people scroll. Neither uses cookies or stores names, emails or IP addresses, so nothing can be traced back to you.

Webflow Analyze keeps an anonymous ID in your browser's local storage to count return visits. Clear this site's data in your browser and it's gone.

Only the handful of services that keep this site running, each chosen with privacy in mind. Their own privacy policies are linked if you'd like to read further.

• Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, helps me manage the site and newsletter, so it may see the information above while I'm working. My chats aren't used to train AI models and are deleted after 30 days. Privacy policy

Some of these are based outside South Africa, in the US and EU, so your information may be stored there under their protections. Nobody else gets it, and I'll never sell it.

Your information is yours. You can ask to see what I hold, have it corrected or have it deleted. Email hello@madebystef.com and I'll handle it personally.
